The Birthright Certificate moves to Parliament!

We have incredible news to share with our global community. Thanks to your signatures, your voices, and our collective persistence, the Government of Ghana has taken a historic leap:

Ministerial Acceptance: The Minister of Interior has officially embraced the Birthright Certificate as a vital policy for the descendants of the transatlantic slave trade.

Cabinet Approval: In September/October, the Cabinet of Ghana formally approved the motion for a bill to be formed.

Next Step: Parliament: The bill is currently being drafted to be laid before Parliament for debate and enactment into law.

This is more than just a certificate; it is the formal recognition of our bloodline and our right to return to our ancestral home with dignity. ANOPWAN continues to champion this cause to ensure the final legislation is fair, accessible, and transformative.
